Ambientada en el mundo de las peleas de gallos y concebida como proyecto cinematográfico, probablemente se trate de la obra menos conocida del autor mexicano. No obstante ese desconocimiento, la valoración literaria está al mismo nivel que “Pedro Páramo” y “Llano en Llamas”.
