Book Creation:
In 1990 at age 12, author Amir Khan wrote a short story for a school assignment called His six-grade teacher submitted his work to the district and participated in the Illinois Young Author's Conference that year. The manuscript was stored safely and given to him on his 40th birthday by his parents.
The author share this experience with my two daughters Zoya 12 and Zysha Khan 9, whom he brought in as illustrators. With their involvement “Speedboat Race” is a story created by kids for kids. “Speedboat Race” was published as a children’s book on Labor Day 2021.
