About the Author
TANYA HYONHYE KO is a newspaper columnist who regularly explores the issues of marriage, motherhood and ethnic identity. She was born in Korea and moved to Southern California with her family as a teenager. After completing a BA in sociology from Biola University, she became a winner of the Echo's Literature Contest in Poetry and the Christian Literature Contest in Poetry.
Her first book of poetry, Generation 1.5, was published in both Korean and English in 1993. Her first book of essays, Mother's Diary from Generation 1.5, was published in Korean in 2002.
She lives near the ocean in Southern California with her husband and three children.
